Pontiac is a brand that was discontinued amid the Great Recession and the bankruptcy of General Motors. The brand was a sporty off-shoot of the automaker, taking platforms from GM's global portfolio and molding them into American sports cars of varying levels and performance combinations. The brand was able to not only differentiate itself from the competition, but from other brands GM offered in the U.S. Before its demise, the brand had created a rabid following, which is why many vehicles are still on the road today.
Your Pontiac vehicle, new or used, will need to have maintenance or repairs completed during your ownership. There will always be general maintenance needs, however, you could see problems with the engine, interior fit-and-finish issues over the life of the vehicle or transmission, depending on the model and year of the vehicle.

Been going to Rick's for years. Great Service, Honest.
Mr. Dutine and his staff were knowledgeable and courteous during my visit. They got me back on the road quickly. I found them to be honest and helpful.
During an era of brickbats flying about, I would like to toss a bouquet of roses to Precision Transmission, owner Rick Duttine and son Rayn. On October 17, 2016 the battery on my 2002 Ford Explorer expired. I was fortunate that Precision Transmission was just across the street and willing to help in attempting to jump start my battery, however to no avail. Rick and Rayn were gracious enough to extend their hours of service while we traveled to/fro purchase a battery. Upon our return to their place of business Rayn was kind enough to install our new battery. I recommend without hesitation Precision Transmission to anyone requiring auto/transmission service.
I took my car to Rick for an issue, and was later notified that another issue had happened. Rick was very fair with pricing. I'm not very knowledgeable about cars, but Rick explained my issue in a way I could understand. I will definitely be taking my business there from now on. A job well done!
Really glad I took my car here. Rick was very knowledgeable and took the time to accurately find out what was wrong with my car and fix it right the first time, which seems to be a rarity these days.
Rick surprised me with his knowledge of the electronics of the car system. I did not tell him electronics and electrical conrols is my profession. He explained it in a simple way for me to understand the problem and was dead on with the facts. He was just as sharp on the mechanics of the transmission, motor, and the car. He gave me options on how well I wanted the repair as in do you want cheap and not last long for a clunker or as something I wanted to keep and restore. It was a $2000 truck. Junker or one to restore. He also helped me find the problem with a 4 runner two other mechanics and Toyota could not diagnose. He is honest and very knowledgeable. He takes care of all my mechanical needs I am not fixing myself.
